Education and Experience

I am a Maths graduate (Birmingham University) and, of course, a qualified teacher (Postgraduate qualification from University of Roehampton).

I have taught in schools covering the most widely-used GCSE and iGCSE exam boards (Edexcel GCSE, AQA GCSE and Edexcel iGCSE) and the 3 most widely-used AS and A Level boards (Edexcel, AQA and OCR supported by MEI).

Since becoming a full time Maths Tutor I have tutored for a much wider set of exams and exam boards.

Having a daughter, who completed her A levels in summer 2018, I can understand the needs of parents.

Criminal record check

It seems odd to me that Private Maths Tutors are not required to have even a basic Criminal Record Check. However, teachers in schools are required to have a clean “Enhanced Disclosure” CRB check to teach in a state school. My certificate showing no convictions or concerns is available for inspection.
